JS Homes was tasked with creating a home with both Norwegian and Japanese influences. The result is The Shavano. With its modern rooflines combined with natural wood siding, stucco and stone, the exterior of the home draws your attention skyward, like a forest of pines in Norway. Walking into the home, you enter a lowered area. In Japanese culture, this is a place to remove your shoes, but also a place to leave your troubles at the door. Continuing to the kitchen, you walk past the indoor atrium/Zen garden. Created to bring the outdoors in, it also allows you a glimpse through to the living area. Vaulted ceilings create space and the beautiful kitchen with gloss white cabinets and waterfall countertops contribute to the modern aspects of the home. The master retreat features a private deck and the master bath centerpiece is the tub/shower area. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, one with its own private deck. The lower area features an art studio for the owners as well as a rec room, laundry and two separate bedrooms. We invite you to enjoy the beauty of The Shavano. As with all of JS Homes, this home is named after one of our 14ers here in Colorado.

Luxe granites complimented by beautiful tile work add depth and movement in many areas of the house creating a refined feeling. Working with Jessica Brown of La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, we designed a palette of colors, patterns and rich textures to enhance and complement the interior finishes. A mixture of reds, yellows and whites provides a timeless, fresh and family friendly environment that makes The Shavano a sanctuary for entertaining and relaxing.
