When the owners of this beautiful retreat originally decided to build, they envisioned a home where they could surround themselves with bold design in an area of organic natural beauty. They wanted this house to be modern yet warm, stylish and most of all, welcoming for family, friends and fun!​

Flying Horse North was the perfect place to build their custom designed, two-story home with additional entertainment barn overlooking the golf course… all surrounded by glorious, tall pines. To meet the family's vision, the house is neither a modern, cold glass box nor an oversized, overworked mix of architectural tricks and clutter, but instead, a mountain modern resort style with a contemporary industrial twist.

Walking through the front door, natural materials ranging from white oak plank flooring, wood and painted cabinets, detailed beam ceilings and metal accents temper the dramatic interior to give it a warm vibe. From the entry you will be able to see through the great room with its towering fireplace and oversized windows, bringing the outside in. The rooms flow seamlessly from floor to floor and from gathering places for cooking, dining and multiple entertaining areas both inside and out.

If there is something that never goes out of style, it's listening to the client and understanding what they want. ​

This gorgeous home speaks to its owner's sense of class and curated style with muted hues that change subtly from room to room, mixed metals, weathered materials, layers of tone and texture, and a calming theme of blues. All of these elements combine to form a feeling of wellbeing, while industrial touches like black windows, metal accents, modern tile and a glass storefront give it that "edge".​
