Welcome to the Crestone, a mid-century modern masterpiece. The elegant simplicity of this timeless structure is defined by its simple, yet impressive design. Enter the Crestone and experience a home of uncluttered lines, defined in part by the use of 12-foot ceilings, and the expansive 12-foot sliding glass doors allow the outdoors inside. Your friends and family will love the unobstructed views of everyone’s favorite “14-er.” The great room’s timeless sleek linear fireplace suggests friends and family will create warm memories inside. On the home’s private deck, you will find a second cozy fireplace with floor-to-ceiling stone. The kitchen will please the chef in the family with its walk-in pantry, prep kitchen space, upgraded appliances and a large island. The master suite is spacious and inviting. The spa-like bath features a free-standing soaking tub and a huge shower. Downstairs includes a rec room with fireplace, open media room, fantastic wet bar with wine room and storage with two additional spacious bedrooms. This mid-century modern interpretation, featuring hints of Wright’s influences in architecture, reflects his words: “If you invest in beauty, it will stay with you all the days of your life.”
We like to describe the style of the Crestone as “New Century Modern.” The asymmetrical exterior elevation takes its cues from mid century, but with a fresh style - current and fitting for the neighborhood, as well as its Colorado setting. Kim Blehm (KB Designs) selected exterior finishes that would connect to the interior. Bold, dark siding paired with light stucco and stone provides warmth. Inside, she chose tasteful, modern finishes that are comfortable and timeless. Blehm’s minimalist color scheme of neutrals, with touches of eucalyptus green and soft golds, creates an inviting palette that complements the home and gorgeous views, rather than distracting from it. The home is light and bright, with bold, black lighting and accents. Abundant natural light and earthy materials give balance to the modern elements. Fabric and wallpaper textures offset the sleek, reflective surfaces of glass and metal. It’s modern and striking, yet unassuming and welcoming.

Phil Goetzmann is a local builder with more than 35 years of experience in Colorado. He realized his home building passion at age 15, when he spent summers working as an apprentice for a local builder. By the age of 21, he was a licensed contractor, and built his first home – from the ground up - at the age of 22 in Black Forest.
Colorado Springs has always been home to Phil. His father, an army colonel, brought their young family to Colorado Springs where Phil fell in love with the beauty and outdoor diversity this great city offered. Phil graduated from Air Academy High School, went on to enjoy college life in Durango, then returned to the Springs to pursue his home building passion.
Sharing life with his wife, Karen, and four kids, Phil understands the importance of family values and enjoys time spent with loved ones playing in the magnificent mountains of Colorado, snowmobiling, skiing and golfing. Though an outdoors enthusiast, Phil recognizes how important it is to reconnect after a day of work or play in a home that is filled with memories, is comfortable, safe, and echoes with laughter and joy. Without a doubt, Phil is confident that his team can build the treasured home you too have longed for – the reputation of the Goetzmann name says so!
