In this project, we worked hard with the clients to incorporate a number of design elements to reflect the style of the home and the homeowners. Through the use of bold colors, natural wood tones, mixed metals, and clean lines we were able to flawlessly seem together the mid-century modern vibe of the home with a luxurious five-star resort feel. The stained alder chunky, oversized floating vanity featuring a semi- vessel modern sink and complementary rift sawn white oak shelves draw the eye immediately upon entry, giving an illusion of length to the overall bathroom layout. We also featured the use of mixed metals, champagne gold, and matte black to tie in the overall design color palette effortlessly. The design utilized a zero entry for the wet room concept, encompassing the shower and freestanding tub neatly in the space behind a stunning frameless shower enclosure. Within the wet room is a fabulous hexagon floor tile also being applied as an accent within a horizontal recessed niche and vertical band centered on the back wall. By taking the hexagon accent and large-format high gloss white tiles to the ceiling we were able to give the shower a feeling of height and grandeur. The lighting in this modern bathroom was achieved by wall-mounted sconces left and right of the lite mirror, as well as, separately operable ceiling LED’s. The overall feel of the space is one of relaxation, function, and beautiful aesthetics. This design was inspired by the client’s exquisite taste and modern appeal.
